Alphabet Sports Collective (ASC) is seeking passionate, skilled, and values-driven leaders to join our working Board of Directors as we begin an exciting new phase of growth.

• Our Mission: We create safe and inclusive spaces within hockey for the 2SLGBTQIA+ community, one shift at a time.

Why Now

We are in the final year of our WAGE (Women & Gender Equality) capacity-building grant. With a new theory of change, strategic plan, communications strategy, refreshed brand, new website, and programs in development, we are ready to execute and grow. This fall we launch our online engagement platform, creating even more opportunities for impact.

 

Board Commitment

• Working board: ~5 hours/month (~1 hr/week)

• Serve on at least one committee

• Attend monthly board meetings (about 10 annually)

 

Skills & Experience We’re Seeking
We welcome applications from individuals with lived and/or professional experience in:

• 2SLGBTQIA+ community and/or sport programming

• Digital community engagement

• Marketing & communications

• Fundraising & Grant Writing

• Treasurer/accounting/finance

 

Board Size & Elections
ASC is recruiting 4–6 board members. Elections will take place at the end of September 2025. 

 

The Nominations Committee includes:

• Bayne Pettinger (Chair)

• Alison Spitzer (Treasurer)

• Sean Addis (Executive Director)
