Alphabet Sports Collective Hired First Executive Director

 

[Toronto, June 26] - Alphabet Sports Collective (ASC) is proud to announce the appointment of Sean Addis as its first Executive Director, as of June 1, 2024.  With a wealth of experience in non-profits and the sports management landscape, as well as a passion for diversity and inclusion, Sean brings a dynamic vision and leadership to the organization as it continues to advance its mission of creating a safe and inclusive environment in hockey for folks of all sexual identities and gender expressions.

 

Sean Addis (he/him)  joins ASC with a proven track record of strategic leadership and community engagement in the sports industry. His extensive background includes marketing and sponsorship with the Pride & Remembrance run, communications with the Canadian Women's Hockey League, co-chairing Capital Pride, and active committee member of international pride organizations such as InterPride. He created and led equity and inclusion projects while completing his Sports Media and Master of Business Administration at Toronto Metropolitan University. 

 

In his new role as Executive Director, Sean will lead ASC in its efforts to create a more equitable and accessible sporting environment for 2SLGBTQ+ individuals of all backgrounds, abilities, and identities. He will oversee the organization's strategic direction, program development, and stakeholder relations while championing diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives within the hockey sector.
